On the 8th June, Kelvin Hughes will be exhibiting at Modernising Justice 2017 which is being held at the QEII Centre in Westminster, the heart of London.
Technology has become integral to the way justice is delivered across the UK and the Modernising Justice 2017 conference will bring together over 300 technology experts from across central government, courts, prisons and probation services to set out the next steps in delivering digital transformation in the criminal justice system for employees and users alike.
For Kelvin Hughes, the event offers an ideal opportunity to highlight the benefits of its new SMS-D drone detection system.
Drones are already being used to smuggle contraband goods into prisons. They can also be used by terrorists to more deadly effect. Even if they are just being used irresponsibly, they represent a new threat to our security.
The SMS-D tracks the real-time position of these aerial targets and, using the company’s solid-state SharpEye™ X-Band solid-state radar transceiver technology, can detect drones up to 1.5 kms away. Highly cost-effective, the SMS-D provides continuously updated bearing, distance, altitude and velocity data. The latest addition to the Kelvin Hughes’ SMS (Single Mast Solution) range, it identifies targets automatically through its video tracking system, ensuring that any remedial or defensive action can be implemented without delay.
