Supporting Álava Ingenieros at HOMSEC 2017
- 13 Mar 2017
Kelvin Hughes’ Regional Business Development Managers will be visiting HOMSEC 2017 and supporting the Álava Ingenieros team at their stand C13 with expert knowledge of radar based situational awareness for security applications.
HOMSEC 2017 is being held in Madrid from 14th to 16th March.
HOMSEC is the only trade show covering national security in Spain, a country with a highly significant geostrategic position given its relationship with Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The event provides an excellent opportunity for OEMs, developers and integrators as well as product, system and service suppliers to offer and find new business opportunities and collaborations.
Together with first class speakers and the opportunity to meet decision makers and opinion formers from governments and industry, the event will feature some of the latest developments in the different technological areas of Defence and Homeland Security.
For Kelvin Hughes, HOMSEC represents an ideal platform for showing its industry-leading position in radar-based security and surveillance systems. When the company’s solid-state SharpEye™ X-Band SxV radar is mounted on the company’s SMS (Single Mast Solution) together with additional optical and thermal imaging devices, the system can provide 360˚ ground surveillance of any site perimeter or border as well as providing early detection of drones and UAVs. The SMS can be fixed to a permanent structure or mounted on a vehicle to further extend the envelope of detection.
Last week Kelvin Hughes also announced the launch of its new drone detection system. The drone detection system can detect and track hobbyist size quadcopters such as the Phantom 3 and other low aerial targets and outputs to any interdiction system range, bearing, and altitude and velocity data. More information can be found at the Álava Ingenieros stand.
