Kelvin Hughes to exhibit at EXPONAVAL 2016
- 25 Nov 2016
From November 29th to December 2nd, Kelvin Hughes will be exhibiting at EXPONAVAL 2016 (Stand 458-N) which is being held at the Base Aeronaval Concon in Chile.
Sponsored by the Chilean Ministry of Defence and the Chilean Navy, this event is the major naval exhibition and congress for Latin America on the Pacific coast with 73 international delegations, over 160 exhibiting companies and some 9000 professional visitors expected to attend. Over the course of four days, the focus will be on a range of critical naval defence and maritime security issues, including the procurement of the latest equipment and systems.
For Kelvin Hughes, this represents an excellent opportunity to promote its SharpEye™ radar and display systems which are currently being used by more than 25 of the world’s navies for surface search, navigation and helicopter control. With its solid-state electronics and Doppler processing of the radar returns, SharpEye™ enables the early detection not only of larger vessels but also small targets - submarine periscopes, RHIBs, small wooden boats, USVs and Jetskis – even in heavy rain and high sea states. Across a range of platforms from fighting ships and submarines through to patrol boats, auxiliaries and coastguard vessels, SharpEye™ is significantly enhancing the situational awareness of their crews.
