Kelvin Hughes to exhibit at Maritime Security 2016 West
- 19 Sep 2016
Adrian Pilbeam, Vice President Americas, will be heading the Kelvin Hughes team on its exhibition stand at Maritime Security 2016 West which is being held from the 20th to 22nd September at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center in Everett, Washington.
Now in its fourth instalment, this event brings together coast guards and law enforcement agencies as well as the owners and operators of ports and terminals to address the challenges of securing coastlines and inland waterways.
For Kelvin Hughes, the event offers an excellent opportunity to exhibit its range of surveillance radar solutions specifically developed to meet the needs of port, harbour and river traffic operators and the agencies charged with the protection of coastal and littoral zones.
The company’s SharpEye™ fully coherent radar is capable of detecting low Radar Cross Section (RCS) targets such as small wooden boats and RHIBs, whether cooperative or uncooperative, earlier and at longer ranges than conventional radar systems even in heavy rain and high sea states. The SBS (Shore Based Sensor) radar range is specifically designed to meet the requirements of a Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) or coastal surveillance system as defined in IALA recommendation V-128.
