Kelvin Hughes welcomes Dinant Rotary Club

Kelvin Hughes hosted a very important visit on Friday 6th May. A delegation of twenty-two Rotary Club members from Dinant in Belgium visited the company's head office in Enfield, Middlesex. Dinant is twinned with the nearby town of Hoddesdon, situated just across the county border in Hertfordshire. The two Rotary Club branches maintain active communications with each other.

The Dinant Rotary Club members' visit to Kelvin Hughes' premises formed one part of a busy tour for the group. They where also be given a tour of the Lee Valley Olympic White Water Rafting Centre in Waltham Cross and met the staff from Newsprinters in Broxbourne, where many national newspapers are printed, including The Times, The Telegraph and the Wall Street Journal.

As well as further cementing the relationship between the two towns, the Dinant Rotary Club visit also marks 69 years since Hoddesdon Rotary Club was formed, back in 1947. This was also the year when Kelvin Hughes launched its first ever navigation radar.

Kelvin Hughes has established itself not just as a technology innovator but also a reliable partner to the world’s navies, coastguards and merchant shipping companies. Founded more than 250 years ago, the company also provides effective, specialist navigation and surveillance systems to security agencies responsible for safeguarding borders, coastlines and critical national infrastructure.
