Finalist for 'Inspiring Hertfordshire' 2015
- 08 Apr 2015
Kelvin Hughes is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for ‘Made in Hertfordshire’, part of the 2015 ‘Inspiring Hertfordshire’ awards. Launched in 2012, 'Inspiring Hertfordshire' focuses on and celebrates the expertise, achievements and outstanding contribution that businesses and individuals make. Held annually, the awards enable Hertfordshire businesses to showcase their performance and achievements to clients, customers, suppliers and business alliances, and to all of the Hertfordshire business community. ‘Inspiring Hertfordshire’ has seen a tremendous response year on year, with the 2015 awards promising to be bigger and more competitive than ever before.
Swedish bank Handelsbanken sponsors the ‘Made in Hertfordshire’ category, which was introduced to celebrate manufacturing success within the county. Kelvin Hughes won the award in 2014 when it was recognised for its contribution to local commerce and community since it moved to Enfield in August 2012. At the time, Kelvin Hughes had just invested £4 million in its new facility in the area, enabling the move to a flexible cellular manufacturing process for its radar and related equipment production and state of the art charts distribution facility.
‘Inspiring Hertfordshire’ attracts significant local and national sponsorship: 2015 sponsors include LVE, Ocado.com, Stevenage Borough Council, Hertfordshire Mercury and the UK India Business Council. Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce recently announced that ‘Inspiring Hertfordshire’ had been declared a regional award winner in their ‘Most Effective Campaign’ category. The winners of all categories in the 2015 awards will be announced at the ‘Inspiring Hertfordshire’ Gala dinner, which will be held on Thursday 14th May at The Porsche Centre, Hatfield.
