The BOXER MIS and SharpEye™ SxV deployable systems are high performance X-band radars, designed for direct installation on a building, perimeter boundary or mast. Focusing on the protection of critical infrastructure BOXER MIS incorporating SharpEye™ is configured as a low power dual short range and long range radar.
The BOXER MIS Ground Surveillance Radar overcomes the shortcomings of Ku-band radar used in ground surveillance. Using our new phased array antenna and solid state SharpEye™ sensor technology, there are no moving parts in the system providing ultra-high reliability, what's more the detection range is not limited. Our SharpEye™ sensors transmit a short, medium and long range pulse sequence providing detection in the short range mode at the same time as longer ranges.
The ability to detect walking persons, vehicles and airborne objects at extended ranges to current surveillance and situational awareness systems provides a new capability to those charged with critical infrastructure protection. SharpEye™ with its patented pulse sequence and Doppler processing provides target classification and early warning to affect a response to movement deemed unusual or threatening of extremely small targets in bad weather and difficult terrain, day or night. The system is capable of being operated autonomously or as part of an integrated sensor network, and will perform remote operation and/or the cueing of optical sensors.
