Submarine Radar Systems

Kelvin Hughes has developed two new solutions for naval submarines and has been supplying surface situational awareness and navigation radar systems for several decades to naval submariners. We provide magnetron KH 2007 and MantaDigital™ software solutions in a hull-penetrating configuration and more recently developed a unique up mast solid state SharpEye™ radar transceiver solution.

Our solutions are designed to send and receive with a AZL type antenna and MantaDigital™ processing and display software configured to run on 3rd party display hardware.

With our SharpEye™ radar transceiver enclosed in a pressure resistant up mast system, a significant amount of processing occurs near to the AZL antenna providing an enhanced detection capability in cluttered conditions.

With our latest solid state SharpEye™ technology we provide a discreet means to gain tactical advantage and situational awareness. SharpEye™ offers superior performance through low cost, lightweight, low power, small equipment envelope with a reduced probability of being detected by counter surveillance techniques.
