Kelvin Hughes' heritage dates back 250 years in the marine world and continually develops the long trend of world firsts through its supply of surveillance and navigation radars, notably the British Royal Navy standard KH1007 navigation radars now adopted by 30 of the world's navies.

In 2008 Kelvin Hughes unveiled to the market the worlds first affordable fully coherent solid state radar sensor SharpEye™, enabling Doppler processing techniques to be applied to radar sensor technology. The outcome is a solid state radar providing full tactical and surveillance capabilities to the command.

Now with SharpEye™ at the heart of our solutions we can provide naval, military and quasi-military mariners with situational awareness at sea, in the littoral zone and river systems. We have specifically packaged our core SharpEye™ technology for watercraft applications including RHIBs, landing craft, FIACs, FAC, patrol boats, search and rescue vessels, lifeboats, OPVs, frigates, LHDs and aircraft carriers.
